To ensure compliance with aviation safety standards.

  • A valid Class 2 Medical Certificate issued under the regulations.
  • Ability to read, speak, write, and understand the English language in accordance with the language proficiency requirements contained in the Regulations there under.
  • An endorsement for the knowledge test from an authorised instructor who— (i) Conducted the training on the aeronautical knowledge areas listed in regulations that apply to the aircraft category sought. (ii) Certified that the person is prepared for the required knowledge test.
  • At least seventeen years of age for a license other than the operation of glider or balloon.
  • At least sixteen years of age for a license in a glider or balloon.
  • Flight training and a logbook endorsement from an authorised instructor who— (i) Conducted the training in the areas of operation listed in regulations that apply to the aircraft category and class rating sought. (ii) Certified that the person is prepared for the required practical test
  • Possession of aeronautical experience requirements that apply to the aircraft category and class rating sought before applying for the practical test.
  • The applicant must have passed a practical test on the areas of operation listed that apply to the aircraft category and class rating sought; and compliance with the appropriate provisions of these Regulations that apply to the aircraft category and class rating sought.
  • The applicant must have passed the required knowledge test on the aeronautical knowledge areas listed in the regulations.
